SCOTLAND!!!

Well today started with some unexpected difficulties!
We left our hostel at 6:10am to have enough time to take the 7am gatwick express train  to the airport.
Once we got to Victoria station we picked up our tickets at 6:44 and even though the 6:45am train was still there they said we had to wait for the 7am... Ok... We waited... 7 am train ... Cancelled, 7:15am.... Cancelled!!! We had to wait until 7:30 am that supposedly got to gatwick at 7:59.
Well, it arrived at 8:05 and dropped us off on the south terminal and our flight terminal was in the north one. We hurried out of the train since bag check closes at 8:15. We made it to the counter at 8:16 and... They refused to check in our bags since it had already closed!!! FOR ONE MINUTE! It was absolutely ridiculous! They checked if our flight was delayed and they said no and wouldn't let us check in our bags!
Then we had to make a decision... Do we still make it for the flight? What should we do with our bags? Do we all wait? Do we separate? At the end Sophia ended up staying behind with our bags while Lukas and I took the flight. The idea was that Sophia would be the only one to pay the change of flight (instead of the three of us) and taking with her our 3 bags. Lukas and I ran to the gate and the flight ended up being ½ hour delayed... I was so mad!

We made it to Glasgow at 10am, headed to our hostel, rented a car, and sorted things out for our trip. For the Scotland part of the trip Sophia's friend Maria is joining us and it should be a lot of fun!

While we waited for the girls to make it to Glasgow Lukas and I went for lunch and walked around Glasgow's city center.

I really loved the Glasgow feeling! It seemed as if we were in another era by looking at the buildings. It reminds me a lot of Italy.

The fanciest Apple Store building
And now that we are in Scotland we started to see men (well, boys) playing bag pipes

Here are Lukas and Maria planning the road trip

I really enjoyed looking at the art work (graffiti) on the streets of Glasgow
